Skin checks and removal of skin cancers

Australian surfers are three times more prone to fatal melanomas than the national average so if you surf or spend time outdoors, then it is important to wear sunscreen and get regular skin checks.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer here in Australia and even if you don’t surf or work on a farm, by the time we are 70 then 2 out of 3 of us will develop skin cancer.

If you have sun damaged skin its important to have annual preventative skin checks as part of your preventative health planning.

You don’t need to attend a dedicated skin cancer clinic or dermatologist as we have doctors who can and we have the right dermatological equipment required to thoroughly check your skin.

Minor surgical procedures

Many of our doctors perform minor surgical procedures. These are done under local anaesthetic in our well-appointed operating room. We can save you the time and effort involved in going to the hospital and you are able to quickly return to home or work.

We have acredited sterilisation practices and procedures. Our doctors are very experienced, love doing surgical work and can clearly educate you on the procedure and any required follow-on treatment.

Procedures include:

  • skin biopsies
  • skin cancer excision
  • excision of cysts
  • treatment of ingrown toenails
  • incision and drainage of abscesses
  • triage and suturing of lacerations
  • removal of foreign bodies
