Dr Kate Allan

“I am passionate about women’s health from contraception, antenatal and postnatal care and through to menopause”.

Kate graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. She completed her internship and residency and then did a senior resident year in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working at Royal North Shore Hospital, Hornsby Hospital and Gosford Hospital. Kate moved to the Northern Rivers in 2014 where she completed her GP training, obtaining Fellowship in 2017.

Kate’s interests are in women’s and children’s health. She has a Diploma of child health and has done training in IUD and implanon insertion and medical termination of pregnancies and practices evidence-based medicine.

Kate has two young children and enjoys pilates, walking, travel and spending time with family and friends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)
  • Diploma in Child Health (Dip. Child Health)
